Stel Says: I’ve had reluctant partners who’ve never even liked wine before come away with a new appreciation and understanding

"This has to be the best wine tour we have done anywhere. The visit to small wineries and the personal interaction with the wine makers, along with Stel's deep knowledge of the wines and district made this extraordinary. I learnt so much about the wine-making processes and a clearer understanding of how to taste" Julian, November 2022

"KNOCK OUT WINE TOUR!!!!!!

This was by far the most enjoyable and educational wine tour we have ever had the pleasure of going on! We have been on quite a few worldwide.
Stel is very passionate about his wine and this came across from the beginning of the trip.
We visited 4 wineries and also had lunch included; no hidden extras. The only outlay was on us buying wine, which we did!
The last two stops at Uplands & Craigow were both very personal with Michael & Barry. It was like sitting in a front room with a friend! And the wines at both wineries were excellent too.
Stel offered a great personal experience for the moment of pick up to the final drop off!

If 6 stars were available, that would have been the rating!

Highly recommended."  davidk, December 2023

The Coal River Valley, Derwent Valley & Huon Valley

Tasmania is a cool climate wine region echoing the Burgundy, Champagne and the Loire Valley regions of France.

StelaVino Guided Wine Tours take you to boutique, family-owned south Tamanian winery / cellar-doors / vineyards where you’ll get the opportunity to meet the owners and discover the story behind their distinctive wines.

Important Note: The owners, to most of the vineyards we visit, will take time out of their busy day to share their wine and knowledge with us, before going back into the winery or vineyard to continue on with their busy day.

The Huon Valley

On this Hobart wine tour, we visit the smallest winery region in Tasmania.

The Huon Valley's latitude is 43 degrees south. This region shares many similarities with Burgundy in France,.

It is the last wine area in the world to pick grapes, perfect for lighter wines with intense flavours. Excellent cold climate table and sparkling Tasmanian wines are prevalent.
